Translation Seminar Series | | |

Prominent scholars and practitioners, as well as postgraduates in the field of translation have been invited to give public lectures and to share their research findings at the Translation Seminar Series which started in 2001.

With the aim to facilitate dialogue and exchange among postgraduate students, research supervisors and colleagues in the field in order to further invigorate the pursuit of knowledge and ideas in translation, these lectures and seminars have provided a forum for the regular bouncing back and forth of ideas, for the cultivation of a sense of community among colleagues and students in the field, and for the introduction of postgraduate students to the exciting and perhaps initially intimidating world of critical discussion and vigorous intellectual debate. The seminars are particularly useful for postgraduate students in helping them formulate and sharpen their ideas for their research projects.

Such seminars are planned to take place normally on the last Thursday evening of each month (7:00 pm - 9:00 pm). If you wish to present a paper or lead a discussion, or simply to share the results or the trials and tribulations of your latest research with us, please email us at ctn(AT)hkbu.edu.hk, and we will arrange it as soon as possible.
